Members of the SCOA can complete and submit a Health Survey to assist in developing the Italian Spinone as a breed in the United States, to identify potential hereditary problems in the breed, to assess disease propensity in the breed, and to educate breeders and owners in understanding screening and treatment modalities for identified or potential health problems

The Spinone Club of America is particularly interested in monitoring the health of the Spinone Italiano breed. To this end, the club has formed a breed health committee. The purpose of the health committee is to monitor the health of our breed through a voluntary health survey.
