NAVHDA Breeders Awards

The following criteria must be met to qualify for the NAVHDA Breeder's Award:

Breeder must be a member of NAVHDA. (If co-owned one of the owners must be a NAVHDA member.)
Producing dam must be NAVHDA registered.
Litters must be NAVHDA registered as a litter. The litter registration requirements means the litter must be registered at the same time under one kennel name. Single registrations will not be eligible for the Award.
The litter registration must have occurred before the dogs were tested.
A Breeder's Award can be awarded for each successful litter. Breeders are not limited to one award per calendar year.
At least four pups from one litter must qualify with a minimum point total of 360 points (90 point average per dog) in NAVHDA Natural Ability tests (not necessarily in the same calendar year).
Pups that are gun-shy, temperament shy or noted as aggressive towards people are not eligible for a Breeder's Award.

TRACKING AWARDS AND ACHIEVEMENTS

Grouse Rouster's B-Ty, TD, CGC

Congratulations to Berdell K. Koch and "Ty" for passing his Tracking Trial.

"Ty" is the 3rd Spinone ever to receive his TD. Quite an accomplishment at the age of 11 month!

"Ty" passed his tracking test at Hudson Valley Tracking Club Sunday April 5th, 1998. 10 dogs were tested and only 4 passed. He did a super job. It was the first time he stayed in a motel. He handled it like a trooper.

"Ty" had previously passed his tracking certification test Feb. 8th 1998 at the age of 9 month. He had to pass this test before entry into an AKC Tracking Trial. The test is judged by an AKC judge and under the same rules as at an Actual Tracking Trial. It is the luck of the draw as to whether you get into a trial or not. It is all done by picking names at random. The tracking certification test was 45 minutes old, with 1 left turn, 3 right turns, up and down a hill and at least 440 yards.

"Ty" is also a certified Therapy Dog. Congratulations and Good Luck to you and "Ty".

Ty completed his CDX ( Companion Dog Excellent). He qualified 3 out of 5 shows and below is a picture of his 1st place win. He also went High Scoring Tracking Dog at 2 of the shows.
