I have really enjoyed your web site. I have a Giant Schnauzer Bitch that I have trained for Obedience and Agility. She is 6 years old and I will have to start loooooking for a young pup to replace her. I am very impressed by the way you have explained the breed, mentioned the problems with Cerebellar Ataxia. There are very few breeders in New Zealand and I am worried that they may be a bit close in there breeding.

Stanzie, our 15 week old Spinone, has become the light of our lives. But then, I guess, I knew she would be after getting to know the breeder, LeeAnne Roy, and meeting her Spinoni, Renata (who became Stanzie's Mom), Gaby and Tucker.

It was just by chance that I found this site last July and I want to thank you because it was through this site that I found LeeAnne. Also, Thank you Maxine Channon for sending the SCOA introductory package. You'll be hearing from us.

I just saw a Program about Spinone on Animal Planet (apr 16 -01) and it was a good program. Is there any video from the program to purchase? I've looked at the Animal Planet's shop, but not found any.

I would like to have the program to show interested people (Sweden). If someone know how to get a copy, please let me know! Thank you.

My husband's family is from the Piemonte region of Italy. He saw the dog today on cable TV and asked me for info, as we are looking for a good gun dog. We hunt mostly upland game but are interested in waterfowl. If your breed will be in any field trials in the South Jersey area, please let me know. Thank you.

We are interested in obtaining a Spinone. We have a five year old Weimaraner (male) and a 12 year old female Weimaraner. Are they compatable? Also, living in Texas, the weather gets really hot during the summer. Although we keep our dogs indoors most of the time, how would the Spinone do in a hot climate with all that hair? We are not interested in breeding, but do prefer a female. Can you give me an idea on how much a Spinone would cost. Also, I can't find any information on this breed locally. Is there someone in the Dallas/Fort Worth area that raises them?

Hi, I love your site good work. I'm looking to purchase a dog and am looking for the best breed for me and my family. I love the sporting breeds because I'm a hunter and the generally make good pets. I just have a couple of questions about the Spinone. Maybe you can help: 1. How are they in the house? Are they calm? Other sporting breeds can be extemely active indoors even when exercised> 2. Does anyone know if they will get full breed status in Canada? 3. Have the show quality dogs retained their hunting ability and are they actively hunted in the States and Canada?
