I would like to learn more about the spinone. Our "wheatie" died last December and we are looking for another puppy or older rescue dog if he would like our cat. The Spinone sounds like a love. We have a huge back yard on a lake and are retired so we have plenty of time to spend with him. Would like to know if there is any breeder in South or North Carolina or Northern Georgia.

I enjoyed visiting your site. It was very informative and I loved the pictures. I had a rescue dog named "Hairy" for the past 14 years (he just passed away this past May of Leukemia). He was my baby and brought so much joy to my life. Everyone called him a terrior mix but he looks exactly like the pictures on your web site especially the one entitled "Holford The Full Monte".

I find your website very useful, with lots of information. One cannot help but fall in love with these dogs. We want to buy a Spinone puppy but my problem is we leave in Canada (near Toronto). I understand there are no breeders in Canada. I would appreciate very much if you could provide me with information on breeders that leave in the Niagara, NY region or who would be willing to ship a puppy to Canada.

My husband & I had to put our English Springer down last July. Now looking for another springer spaniel, cocker spaniel or cockerpoo. Prefers that dog is not championship blood line, just a pet to be loved until the end of time. This is my second entry.I too have that program on animal planet introduce me to this WONDERFUL dog. I am a single mom with two active and loving boys ages 11 and 13. Our last dog 1/2 lab 1/2 retriever sadly died almost 2 years ago at the age of 14.We are just now completing building a home on the brow of Lookout Mountain,Ga.We are in a great neighborhood with lots of small children,but also thousands of acres of government park property(all woods and creeks).PLEASE,can someone guide us to a male puppy.He can be up to 1 year old if raised right.I am willing to drive or fly where ever to bring one home to join our family.Italy may be pushing it ,though.I hope I haven't written so much that nobody will read it.Again, we are desparate.This seems very much like an adoption might feel.

I printed out an application and will be sending it in soon. Can you give me any ideas on getting my put to retrieve. She will usually go and bring back anything I throw once, then she runs to the item and either returns or picks it up and drops it. I tried using a bird wing with the same results. Thanks

I saw a program on the Spinone recently and was thinking it may be a neat breed for me. Do they shed much? I love a dog as a pet and companion, live by water, need a walking companion, and my boyfriend is an outdoorsy/hunter type. I've had Schnauzers before and in general like the terrier temperament (I prefer a bearded dogs for some reason, but I just know my boyfriend wouldn't get along with a terrier.
