Wonderful to have mastered another part of my computer!....and to have found the Spin bit. Am secretary of the Italian Spinone Society of Scotland which was founded nearly seven years ago. Although quite a few of our members show their dogs, we have a number who use their spins in the field, and dozens who simply enjoy the companionship of this wonderful breed. There are no half measures in the Spinone....you either love them devotedly....or don't have one

We've had German Wirehairs Pointers for 14 years and my pup is now getting old. A wildlife Biologist working for The Nrcs in Iowa have decided to get a softer coat so my wife can enjoy petting her more . Ready for a white and orange 49 day old puppy female hopefully close to Washington Iowa USA anyone out there Will travel to surrounding states, Been use to hunting pheasants, quail, and duck and the dog will be a house dog so sure hope she's everything you web site has been telling us as a GWHP is Excellent ,Just not very soft. Just loving!

I FIRST SAW A SHOW ON ANIMAL PLANET`S BREED ALL ABOUT IT, ON THE SPINONE. I BECAME INTERESTED IN THE BREED EVER SINCE. I THINK IT`S A UNIQUE LOOKING DOG WITH EXCELLENT QUALITIES,AND I WOULD TO FIND A BREEDER, AND MAYBE OBTAIN ONE. I WOULD EVEN CONSIDER AN OLDER DOG IN NEED OF A HOME, SAY 2-3 YRS OLD.

We just had to put our little Maltese to sleep after 13 years - very hard as he kept me company through my cancer treatments and was my little buddy. We then hoped for another sweetheart when we adopted "Rosie" a mixed breed from the SPCA - unfortunately she had already contracted Parvo and pneumonia and the vet couldn't save her 4 days later. We have been devastated and then my husband saw the Spinone breed on Animal Planet and we were both taken with that face - those eyes and the fact that they are Italian - our parents mother country. We are an older couple - we don't hunt, we just want a loving companion that will have the our love and the best we can give her (would like a female) for the rest of her life. We don't want a show dog - we can't afford it after all the vet bills. We don't want to breed - we just want someone to love and who will watch over us (I am disabled and need a special little girl to be my companion). If anyone can help, please send to my e-mail. I seen my first spinone on the Crufts Dog Show this weekend (March 10-12). I instantly was attracted to the dog and breed. Your websites was very informational and gave me some insight to the breed.
We have an Akita which we love and within the next year plan to buy an acreage and start a good Dog Kennel with 6-8 different breeds of dogs. Mostly hunting dogs and I know now that the Spinone Italiano will be among them. Trudy Smith

i just love big dogs. have a briard and a maltese terrier at the moment. after reading your desciption of the spinone,it sounds identical to my briard jessy. have'nt seen or heard of any in nz yet,still we are a little bit behind the times here,the briard only having been here about 7-10yrs. all the best. dorothy
