Our beautiful 12 year old chocolate Lab died recently, and we are looking for a wonderful dog to replace her.

I think I would be interested in getting a hold of one of these in a few years. Currently I have a four year old Golden Retreiver and I am not ready for another dog yet, but when I am I would like to have an idea of where the nearest breeder is. I'm interested in getting a Spinone, but would like to check out a few before buying one. Could somebody help me out? I live in the Minneapolis, MN area. Does anybody know of any breeders in the vicinity? Also, I have relatives in Two Harbors, MN (about 30 miles north of Duluth, MN) and will be spending some time with them over the holidays. Could somebody please provide me with some names of breeders in that area? I'd be willing to drive, but would prefer keeping the traveling distance to 50 miles or less.

as a breeder from the uk i think the spin club of gb ought to view your site to add more points of reference for its members - your site is full of useful info with loads of detail covering the working side of the breed. the uk site seems to be v. focused on shows with not as much interest on what the breed were born to do

I was given an old orange and white spinone called Holly as a wedding present from my husband, needless to say she did not attend. She was six months old when we had her, she is now two. We are members of a new south of England Spinone Society, there are approximately 100 members so far. The society was started in November 1999. My spinone is a 5 year old delight. Kassie is very loving and great to be with. She has an incredible on and off switch, ie can become playful or calm when needed to be. And she is healthy and a good looker.

We saw our first Spinone live at the Columbus Ohio Shows a few week ago and were very impressed. We became very interested in the breed after reading the article in the Gazette. My husband and I are searching fora versatile hunter with a calmer tempermentent and seem to have found it it in a Spinone. Please send me as much information as possible on the breed.
