The Spinone Club of America is a not-for-profit Organization. The Club is the largest registry recognized Spinone Breed Club in the United States. The Club is recognized as the Parent Club for the Spinone Italiano breed by the American Kennel Club (AKC).
OBJECTIVES:
The Spinone Club Of America (SCOA) was founded in 1987. The primary objectives
of the Club are to promote the owning, breeding, exhibiting and training
of purebred Spinoni most nearly conforming to the accepted standard of the
breed adopted by the Spinone Club of America.
MISSION:
The Club's mission is to foster, improve, encourage and
promote the Spinone as a hunting dog in North America by appropriate
activities such as conducting field tests and trials; to acquaint
sportsmen and the general public with the history and undiminished value
of the trained Spinone as a companion and hunting dog for the fair pursuit
of game. In addition, the Club shall promote honorable conduct both in the
show ring and on the field.

February 11, 2000, the AKC officially recognized
the Spinone Club of
America as the
Parent
Club
of the Spinone Italiano breed's entry into the Sporting Group.
